I started playing guitar when i was 11/12 and i have loved it ever since. I have been able to read tab since i first started playing and have used my ear constantly so i can pick up songs easily by just listening. When learning songs, even when i first started playing, i would improvise solos and licks and now i can improvise along to any piece of music meaning i can adapt easily when playing.
My band experience is, honestly, quite limited as the only people who played instruments in my school at the time just played Muse songs and... well... who want's to play them? Despite this i am very flexible and can easily chime in wherever i am needed, whether it be lavishing lead, reverberating rhythm or even both, i have the knowledge and the experience to be a consistent and reliable guitarist.
My experience in performing is also limited but i know if everyone in a band can get along, they can support one another and help each other through the initial fear of the crowd. The thing that i am really looking for in a band is friendship, nothing excites me more than being able to make music with friends.
I have been singing whilst playing guitar for the last year and a half and have been received well by everyone i have sung for (that doesn't mean just family members) and would be happy to do some backing vocals while playing or maybe even do a couple of songs. Some of my best songs are blues songs such as Memphis Tennessee and some Rolling Stones numbers like You Got the Silver but if you would rather i keep quiet or if you don't fancy my singing I'm fine with just sticking to playing the guitar.
