Took up guitar 8 years ago and played lead guitar for a heavy metal/alternative group for a number of years. Did a fair ammount of gigs in that time, wrote alot of material and really enjoyed it. Then I went to uni and virtually stopped playing altogether for about 4 years. Have recently taken up bass and am finding 4 strings relatively straightforward.

Influences
So much odd stuff in my record collection I don't know where to start. Anything with guitars in it really.
Recently listening to a bit of RATM/Audioslave, Muse, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Foo Fighters, Green Day, The Offspring, Billy Talent, Rise Against, Kings of Leon, QOTSA.
Also been known to stick on some more chilled out stuff like Paulo Nutini, Mumford and Sons and occasionally something a bit more shouty like Metallica, Korn or Disturbed. Sometimes when I'm sure no one is watching I listen to the odd bit of hiphop and classic 80's powerballads too.
