We're looking for an easy going, collaboratively minded, melodically inclined bassist for a West London rock band:
Gender / look / age / unimportant, but ideally a confident and relaxed player
Must be willing to provide backing vocals
Must be available to rehearse once a week (our regular rehearsal studio is located in Dollis Hill, North West London although we're willing to find a better location if needed)
About us:
God Mode started life 3 years ago as a covers band playing up beat, classic and modern rock, gracing London venues such as 93 Feet East, 12 Bar Club, and The Good Ship. However the last 6 months has seen us focus on our song writing and flesh out our own sound, playing a few gigs at venues such as Alleycat Bar (Soho) and the Fiddler's Elbow (Camden).
Even though our influences include (but are absolutely not limited) to Queen, Deep Purple, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Chic and early Def Leppard - we are less picky on INPUTS and more focussed on OUTPUTS.
Our vision is to form a line up that can come up with big, catchy songs, offering solid musicianship, harmony vocals and a collective sense of fun and performance. We're not looking for THE best bass player in the world but THE best bass player for this band, who enjoys the material and is willing to contribute something from him/herself. Individual chops and personalities will always come second.
We have 5 originals completed at the moment and lots of other ideas in works. We believe in our material and would like to get it recorded soon. If you are interested in a band that is "work in progress", are creative and would like to make and play something new, this is for you.
We treat it seriously but we're not aspiring to be a professional, working band - all have jobs and other commitments outside of music - if you want to join an established band, become a star and live music full-time, this is probably not for you.
