Based in Dent in Cumbria, but able to travel reasonably, I am a talented soulful guitar player who can write and structure songs, but have never really realised them as I am terrible at singing and writing lyrics. I work just 3 days a week so have lots of time, and physical space for rehearsing. I also have a pro-tools studio set up for recording. Don't be put off by my age (he said defensively) as I heve never stopped listening to and buying new music and have a hugely open mind about what I play.... I need some new influences in the shape of other musicians and I wan't to gigs... for the fun of it!

Influences:

I am hugely versatile... and my influences reflect this... everything from Robert Johnston, via Jimi Hendrix to hip-hop via the early manchester scene (Joy Division), great Indi bands (such as Stone Roses, the Smiths), to the more spacy indi bands (such as Primal Scream), to the straighforward rockers (Oasis, the Stones), via country (mixed with Hip-Hop such as Beck), taking in the Clash on the way... I'm also not adverse to acoustic stuff... but if I play acoustic you can see my rock roots (in the same was as I guess Noel Gallagher) rather than diddly dee folk music. I still buy new music.. latest stuff I am listening to is Arcade Fire, the Killers (who isn't), the Kills etc. Guitar heroes.. Jimi, Johnny Mars, Keef... Hate souless fret twiddling... Oh... by the way.. did I mention Bob Dylan?
