SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Acoustic Guitar, Other Percussion, Violin, Flute, Other, Mandolin, Fiddle, Dobro, Trombone, Steel guitar, Upright bass, Cello, Accordion, Ukulele, Clarinet, Harp.ABOUT
I play banjo, 12 & 6 string guitar (plus oddments - see below). Broadly folk-ish/acoustic, with a dash of americana thrown in. I write songs; can sing a bit.
Strong emphasis on an acoustic, folk-ish sound: I want to develop original songs (my own along with any suitable originals from others in the band; co-writing would be cool!) plus a few traditional folk numbers. Occasional electronics and other excursions & effects, but the more acoustic sound is core.
I have a clear idea of the sort of band I'd like to build/be in. However, I'm not a control freak and will be open to the happily unexpected . .
- Alternative, marginal. To perform in arts spaces, folk clubs, alternative venues; festivals. Not chasing money or popularity. Open mic’s to keep momentum, experience & learning.
- At least fortnightly sessions and/or performance (when ready) as a minimum. Weekly much preferred
- EP/album when ready
I have access to a free rehearsal space in SW London
