Hiya!
I'm a female singer from Wolverhampton and have been looking to join/start a band for ages. Opportunities have risen but I’ve yet to meet the right musicians with the right type of attitude etc.
I’m very open-minded and appreciate most kinds of music. I’ve found that I naturally play a lot of blues and soul which I think is to do with the fact that I’ve mainly been playing acoustic gigs recently but I’m looking for something with a bit of an edge!
Ideally, I would love to play original stuff in the near future but at the same time, I’d like to experiment with a few covers.
My influences include a lot of indie, new wave, and funk stuff, obviously blues and soul and a lot of psychedelic 60’s stuff.
I’m beginning to tear my hair out with these posts (well, maybe not literally but you get the idea!) I’m just looking for a group of versatile fun-loving, work hard-play hard type of people with a commitment to music and the ability to really enjoy what they’re playing.
Is that so hard to find?! :-/
If anyone has any ideas, give me a shout!
