ABOUT

Hi,

I'm Katie, and I am currently looking for London-based musicians for jamming, writing, and/or forming a band willing to take it slow for a couple of years. I am musically very committed, but due to my university course, I can't meet the demands of a heavily-touring band, y'know?

However, regular practice, musical growth, and playing for the love of it are all something I want to keep in my life. Weekly practice is something I will do happily, and monthly(ish) gigging in and around London is also still compatible with my studies, and I'd love to keep it up! :)

I've played violin for 12 years, and bass guitar (my primary gigging/writing instrument) for five, and I have experience of live rock shows, amateur orchestral performances, touring, and studio recording.

Bass-wise, I'm a very enthusiastic rock/metal bassist, and violin-wise I can do classical, although I'm very open-minded, often trying to blend genres and interests, like adding Eastern European scales to a rock bassline or adding blues into violin.

Who knows? This might be the start of a beautiful project...
