ABOUT

I moved from Oxford to Brighton 3.5 years ago and i never got the band together that i promised myself when i first moved to the area. I have been in a few bands over the years and i like to play indy/pop/rock. I would call myself a rhythm guitarist but i can bash out a few 2nd lead lines.... I always worked well with singer song writers but im open minded to trying anything. I just want to play loud again and i miss the camaraderie of hanging out with a band too....

Influences

Weirdly the sort of music I like to listen to differs from the sort I enjoy to play... My fav influences as in people are: John Squire, frank black, kim deal, lou reed, bernard butler, josh holme, mani low-fi grungy rock to searing power pop etc etc I like all sorts really but all i want to do is play again, anything! I always liked the dynamic of a song instead of how many Chords it has....
Im the wrong side of 30 these days, infact im fast pushing 34 so im not sure if an originals is still an option (bit sad to see old men wiggin out down the pub) But what do you think? Im not really keen to just become yet another covers band playing oldies and trying to be a bit "wacky" covering Lady Ga Ga or pixie lot. You know what i mean... or maybe i should get over myself?

EQUIPMENT

I have a Grestch semi double cut away in cherry dark red, its always been my number 2 guitar but im still saving fo the dream Gibson ES335. Its got humbuckers so it will howl with the best of them but its really very much an all rounder. I have a Fender single and a Marshall amp connected together, both 90+ watts so pleanty loud enough. Cry baby wah and a Boss multi pedal gt-8.
