SEEKING

Band to Join, Vocalist.

ABOUT

Hello!

I'm Luke. 22 yrs. Been playing guitar since I was 7.

I have played in bands for around 10 years but keep getting let down by fellow members due to lack of commitment. Music is EVERYTHING to me, and I want to work with like minded musicians who are willing to push to get somewhere, not just plod along hoping things will happen.

I currently play in the NWOBHM band Cloven Hoof, however the touring and recording schedule is fairly sparse, so I have time for another project.

I am mainly seeking a vocalist to write with and record demos, with view of developing into a full band. I have a large back catalogue of music without vocals ready to be used. I will only commit to a band when I have found the right vocalist.

I have a good home recording setup so can produce great sounding demos, which helps a lot with songwriting and developing a 'sound'. I also have access to a pro studio in Manchester for 'final' recordings following preproduction demos.

Like many people, I work full time so would need to practise on weekday nights and/or weekends. Would have to focus gigs to weekends, but can book time of work for full tours.

Influences

I have four main musical interests, all of which I would be happy to work with:

1.) Power / Melodic metal - Bands such as Edguy, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Orden Ogan, Helloween. Fast and catchy music.

2.) Metalcore - Bands such as Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine, In Flames, Bury Tomorrow, Funeral For A Friend. Heavy, riff based with screaming and clean vocals. (Would like to have both vocal styles covered, as I always like to have a melodic element within vocals)

3. Classic Metal - Bands such as Iron Maiden, Dio, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Winger. Old school metal!

4. Symphonic Metal - Bands such as Within Temptation, Delain, Nightwish. Usually (but doesn't need to be) female fronted, lots of sonic element, big sounding.
