Semi-professional bassist in the Midlands (between Coventry and Birmingham). Played a little keyboards but main instrument bass guitar, been playing for 18+ years. Been in a number of gigging bands in all styles (Rock, Pop, Funk, R&B, Blues, Acoustic), recently played at both the NEC and ICC in Birmingham.

Currently looking for a committed covers band, playing pop, funk and rock across the decades who are currently or in the process of securing regular corporate work with supplemental pub/club gigs. No heavy metal please!

Influences:

My influences are varied and I listen to a wide variety of styles and artists. My playing style has been different for various past bands and I have played funk, pop, rock, acoustic, blues, jazz, soul. However, my main interest is in funk/pop with a rock twist every now and then - think Chic/Duran/Killers and you have as near to my playing style as you can get.

However, I play a variety of styles:

Rock: Led Zeppelin, Queen, Eagles, Marillion, Bon Jovi, Fish, Foo Fighters, QOTSA.

Pop: Beatles, Bowie, Duran, INXS, Numan, Prince, Tears for Fears.

Funk: Chic, Living Colour, RHCP.

Acoustic: Neil Young, Tanita Tikaram, All About Eve
