I'm a bassist with a band I initially put together for a fundraiser at my daughter's school in north London and more.
We're a covers band, mainly classic rock / floor fillers like Should I Stay Or Should I Go, Are You Gonna Be My Girl, Creep, Teenage Kicks, Hard To Handle etc. etc. We generally rehearse on evenings in Holloway and have a lot of fun.
I have a day job and family, so the band (at least for now!) would be just for fun, but it certainly could be! My musical loves : David Bowie, the Jam, Kate Bush, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Radiohead, LedZep, the Beatles and the Stones, Bob Dylan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Thin Lizzy, assorted punks and reggaesters, and many more!
