GUITAR PLAYER NEEDED FOR THE SILHOUETTES -IMMEDIATE VACANCY!
The Silhouettes are a three piece instrumental band from Birmingham UK with multiple releases on the USA label WILD Records. We formed in March 2020 with the intention of creating a musical legacy and live act not restricted by any genre save that of pure Rock n Roll. We're not surf copyists or a garage band. Imagine if The Shadows appeared today but took their reference from the last 40 years of underground culture - that's what The Silhouettes are about. We have released three vinyl 45's and two vinyl LP's/CD albums all available from our bandcamp shop, Wild records website or at various HMV outlets in the UK. Another album is in the writing stage with intended release 2025 and the new guitar player would be an integral part of this album. We have performed upwards of 150 gigs Worldwide namely USA (California and Las Vegas), Europe (Belgium/Holland/France) and all over UK. Our line up has not changed since inception but the guitar player now has personal circumstances which effect his commitment so it's time for an amicable change. The camaraderie within the band is second to none and the new member would be afforded time to settle in slowly with a series of low key UK gigs, before a planned return to Las Vegas USA hopefully by early 2025. The new guitarist will play a major part in an artistically sound project and have a helluva good time! To this aim we feel someone of maturity would be best placed to fully appreciate the travel aspect but we will of course consider any age range. Obviously talent/competence is important but enthusiasm is paramount.
