Hi We are Abandon a five piece retro 80-90s pop cover band looking for a Male lead vocalist to duo with our female vocals

Band information and rehearsal schedule

If you feel you would like to have a meeting
we would ask you to learn 3-4 songs of your choice from the set list. The audition should last around 1 hour.
You do not have to pay anything for the audition, but should you be successful and join the band then we split the rehearsal room hire and it works out to £4 per person per week.
Also you will be invited to join our online band calendar showing all rehearsal and gig dates, and allows you to book any personal holidays or unavailability.
We would also invite you to join the band WhatsApp chat, to discuss songs, gigs and general banter and chit chat.

With regard to the songs we play, they are all in original key as per the artist. We do sometimes put our own spin or twist to a song, so please don’t be alarmed if the song isn’t exactly as per original recording.

The overall project is to put together two vocalists working together to create interesting harmonies and integrating lead and backing vocals between them, our bass player can also provide some additional backing vocals if required.
We would like to gig fairly regularly and push into the function and party side of performances, and we are happy to play a few bars and festivals too. Ultimately we enjoy playing music and having fun, and if we can get paid for our efforts then we want to pursue that too.
We are using some of the latest technology in our instruments, especially with the keyboards and drums linked up to computers to create authentic sounds to replicate some of the original artist recordings.
We have our own stage rig/ PA, lighting etc and are serious about delivering a professional performance.

We meet up usually Once a week at universal studios Ipswich.
Normally we meet on a Wednesday or Thursday evening 6pm-10pm

A PA is on site but you will need your own mic stands, microphone, cables and instruments/amplifiers if applicable.

Ladies and gents toilets are on site, please bring your own refreshments. Parking is available out of the front of the studio.
