Experienced guitarist, played in several bands from rock originals to pop cover bands, acoustic duos to jazz bands. Currently I play in a jazz duo doing standards with an Alto sax player using ireal player backing tracks. I would like to junk the tracks and form a fully live jazz combo.
We currently have a setlist of 10 jazz standard songs that we are about to start playing at jam nights/open mikes. Are there any Jazz Bass players out there that would like to join us? Any Trumpet, keyboard or Sax players etc? Any drummers interested in Jazz?
I would also be interested in playing anything else other than jazz !
I have been having sax lessons for over 3 years so can just about get a tune out of it !
I am quite happy to stuff money in my pockets, but equally happy just to play for the fun of it.

Influences
Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, Sonny Rollins, modern jazz, 70's and 80'S rock and chart music. House, fusion Jazz, jazz rock, blues ( Robben Ford, Garry Moore etc). Some 90's rock. I like anything really with a strong melody. I played for several years in a club band doing the North west working mens club circuit and I would be happy to do a bit of that again.
