Band to Join, Background Singer, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
Hello,
Bass player required to complete band line up. We currently have vocals, rhythm and lead guitar and drums and go by the name of The Blackwater Sky. We're currently in the process of getting a good body of material together and need a confident, experienced bass player to add another dimension to the band. Style is indie/rock/alternative and we're aiming for a big, full sound whilst retaining good melodies and hooks. All songs are originals, 15 written so far with more on the way. We’re looking for someone who is technically sound but can also do the simple things well. A good singing voice is required as we feel the songs we have would really suit vocal harmonies. Influences include Radiohead, The National, The Arcade Fire, Manic Street Preachers, Kasabian, The Beatles, The Decemberists, Doves, Elbow, The Stone Roses, Suede to name but a few. We have our own rehearsal space near to Stansted Airport, complete with PA, in the middle of nowhere so we can make as much noise as we want. Being able to drive is a must and having your own gear is essential. This is a serious project and the right person will need to be fully committed and flexible. Age range would ideally be mid to late twenties, we are aged between 26 and 29, we would consider early twenties or early thirties though. We've all been in bands since we were 17 so between us we have lots of experience writing, recording and playing live.
