"335 EXPERIENCE" is a London based blues-rock outfit. The aim of this band is to re-create the classic blues-rock sound of the "classic era" 1967 - 72. The group operates as a power trio modelled on the likes of :Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, early Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival,Free and James gang.
The leader of the band is Gavin Sage: lead/slide guitar, harmonica and vocals. Emery on piano, Matt is on bass and Javi on drums.
The reason for the name "335 EXPERIENCE" is because I use a Gibson 335 predominantly and want to re-capture the authentic blues sound of guitar greats like : BB KING, FREDDY KING and ALVIN LEE. I also use harmonica and bottleneck extensively in my repertoire in order to inject a bluesy feel into my music. For my bottleneck work I normally use a Highway Stratocaster which gives me an "old classic" Fender sound. Although we are London based we are available for gigs nationwide and in Europe.
We have around 20 own songs, plus we play covers as well, most classic rock from late 60's to early 70's: Stones, The Doors, Status Quo, Bob Seger,Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Creedence, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Free, Bad Company, The Eagles, Tom Petty, Humble Pie, Jethro Tull.
