As experienced students of music performance, myself and my friend (drummer) have decided to seek equally experienced musicians to form a band. So far we have a vocalist and a drummer so if anyone with experience in keys/guitar/bass or anything else are interested give me a shout.
My name is Joshua and I'm a 19 year old student at Riverside Music College studying music performance and specifically vocals. Prior to my recent studies I have attended the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study music teaching, however I did not enjoy the course so I left after my first year. Despite leaving so early I gained a great amount of experience in different fields of being a vocalist, for example operatic work. Nowadays I try to maintain my classical voice however I am adaptive to various genres as I have played in a few bands already doing covers of The Strokes, Fleetwood Mac, The 1975, The Kinks etc. I also write my own songs however I would love to work with other songwriters as well.
I am primarily a vocalist however I was first introduced to music with the piano and I have become an experienced pianist over the years. I also play acoustic, rhythm and lead guitar to a high level as well as bass. In my spare time I sometimes play harmonica which was influenced by a lot of Aerosmith tunes.

Influences
I could go on for days about various musical or non-musical works that have influenced me personally in my music. A few of the artists that have influenced me would be the likes of Nat King Cole, Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Frank Sinatra, Tom Petty, Jeff Buckley, Alex Turner, Brian Wilson, Elton John and Kevin Parker to bands like The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac, INXS, Sundara Karma, The Strokes, Led Zepplin, ACDC, The 1975, Motley Crue, Foals, Def Leppard, The Killers. I have had the opportunity to listen to many various styles of music at gigs.

EQUIPMENT
I have built a very small home studio which is predominantly for and solo recordings.
I currently own various dynamic and condenser microphones which I've been experimenting with in the studio. I have a Yamaha Pacifica electric guitar, a small Ibanez acoustic for travelling, a Ibanez GSR180-BK bass guitar, a wine red Les Paul Epiphone, a Roland FP-60 piano and various other pieces of percussion or harmonicas etc.
