I'm looking for a band to join:
You:
- Probably a cover band or generally mainstream music genre
- 80s/90s/00s Pop
- 50s/60s/70s/80s Rock
- or at least 2 of the above
- Actual gigs or serious intention to gig
- Not serious musos (because I'm not)
- Good balance between fun and reliable
Me:
- playing for about 25 years, but way less competent than that might suggest
- to give you an idea of my lead playing capabilities I can play the intro to Money for Nothing, but can only play the lead parts of Sultans of Swing if the tempo is slower than the record
- can keep good time, could do Slow Train Running by the Doobie Bros all night.
- been in a couple of fun bands in the past, but only ever done one gig
- good gear
- 56 years old, whatever that means to you
- own transport and willing to travel to rehearsals for half an hour in any direction
