I've always wanted to play live music. I learned some guitar as a teenager, I spent most of my energy on learning covers so was a little undisciplined with proper theory. More recently I've taken to playing drums, having semi regular lessons and working through some of the trinity rock and pop grade books to help me have some structure.

Avid fan turned aspiring musician is probably how I would classify myself, still don't feel confident enough to call myself anything more than an experienced beginner.

Never played a live gig, bit of a bucket list item for me. Would be happy to have fun practicing covers and original songs with a view to playing a few local shows to help me improve and keep me motivated.

I try to be open minded with music, generally my listening habits default in the "alt rock" bracket but I always try to push myself outside of my comfort zones.
