I'm an ex-soldier with over 17 years in uniform medically retired due to injuries sustained fighting in the First Gulf War so I now have a lot of time on my hands, I've been trying to play guitar since I was 14 and I'm now in my fifties, I keep picking it up and giving it a go but life has a habit of getting in the way, I was a pro DJ on the rave scene for many years and still mix my own stuff but haven't played live for many years and I really miss it, I'm looking to get into both bass and rhythm/lead guitar with a view to playing live at some low key open mic nights and seeing how it goes from there, I'm at a very basic, beginner level so just looking for people better than me to practise and improve with, I was a punk back in the 70's and 80's and then a mod later on and that's where my musical influences are.

EQUIPMENT
I own two amps, a Vox and a 100w Marshall, Stagg Bass, Cort, Electric, Fender acoustic and a semi acoustic bass too as well as a few effects boxes and leads, my DJ equipment is a bit more extensive.
