Band to Join.

ABOUT

I’d like to start a melodic hard rock originals band that sounds like Tremonti, AlterBridge, that sort of thing in general. Otherwise I am fine with covers/functions and can do studio or session work, but cards on the table I am not really interested in joining established bands or just being someone’s drummer as a live backing track, I want to be a key part of the songwriting team.

The track uploaded features me on guitar - the rest was Fruityloops!

I play drums, bass, guitar and I can sing a bit of BV.

My most proficiency is on drums. I started playing drums when I was 17, joining a band and moved on to playing covers and then joined a progressive rock act called Touchstone and released two albums and toured, covered in national press and magazines (Classic Rock Magazine), recorded in high profile locations and worked with leading musicians, had radio and festival appearances etc. The band supported Dream Theater and ZZTop at High Voltage and were signed to SPV Germany.

Joined KOTR in north London, played high profile London clubs incl. 100 Club, Shepherds Bush Empire and received high praise from Francis Rossi (Status Quo), Hard Fi, Radiohead, Johnny Hates Jazz, Mark King (Level42).

At least a quarter of my life was music, playing some large high profile gigs and most of the music was progressive - if you look up Touchstone Wintercoast or Discordant Dreams I was the drummer on those albums.

Have also done studio work and session work, met a wide number of people.

Influences

Influences in my early days was the heavy stuff like Pantera and Metallica which gave me a 'chunky' playing style. Closest modern example of how I 'sound' is Alterbridge, Tremonti, Slash.

These days my influences are a little softer or more AOR/middle of the road - Wallflowers, Toto, Little River Band, Allman Brothers, AC/DC, Old Dominion, Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzy, Eric Clapton, Eagles, Wet Wet Wet, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Chris Ledoux, Journey, Little River Band, Level 42.
