Seeking a drummer!

Our drummer and founding member Si will be hanging up his sticks at the end of August after 20 years in bands - we're very sorry to see him go, but we know he needs a rest and to actually see his family over a weekend!

We're now looking for a drummer to see us through a few 2024 gigs and help us power into 2025.

Whilst we need a solid drummer who can hold the beat and work with our Carl on bass to form the beating heart of the band, equally as important to us is someone who LOVES the music, is easy-going but likes to make sure the riffs and fills are accurate to the tracks we cover. As noted below, this is a "for fun" band - but we all want to give a good account of ourselves, give the audience a great night of entertainment, ensure venues are getting value for money and - most importantly - do justice to the music of our heroes.

We love the music of the bands we play and we know how it's supposed to sound - we grew up with a lot of them, or have discovered them along the way. Of the bands listed under influences, we've seen them all bar 3 live and our frontwoman is still a regular gig-goer (Hellfest, Download, Yardbirds Rock Club, Call of the Wild, Legends of Rock, Cyprus Rocks - it's a wonder she has time for Badasss lol)

BADASSS are a covers band influenced by a variety of rock-based genres, both classic and contemporary - out for fun for the audience and for us whilst maintaining a professional ethos in our approach to both band admin and venues.

We currently have an energetic and sassy frontwoman with the vocal range to cover a wide variety of tracks, the attitude to engage the crowd (and the admin skills to manage the diary!), a solid bassist, an experienced and versatile lead guitarist and a legendary Mr Keys.

We are continuing to expand our 3 x 45s plus set and build the BADASSS brand as the rock covers band of choice for suitable venues and events - having played our first Harley Davidson Owners rally recently to excellent feedback, we're hoping to be able to rock a few other chapters next year!

We are all experienced musicians keen to be out gigging, have a good time, enjoy the music, give the punters a great fun night out and get re-booked to regular venues.

As our guitarist often observes, we're not in it for the money but gigs generally cover expenses - after forming the band in late 2023, 2024 has been a challenging year of growth, consolidation and change, and we now want to move forward into 2025 with our new lineup and the aim of really establishing the band locally.
