ABOUT
he Source is a televised unsigned musicians competition:
1) Artists send in their videos which are shown on our website.
2) The public vote for their favourite videos.
3) We then select the top 150 bands who go through to the TV show on Info TV, SKY 201 and Channel M.
4) The videos are then shown in our daily show with information about the bands.
5) The public can phone or text vote and 50% of the revenue goes to the artist.
6) The winners of the daily shows go through to our weekly hour-long entertainment shows.
7) Again the public can phone or text vote and 50% of the revenue goes to the artist.
8) The winners of the weekly shows go through to our live final in week 7 where artists play live in the round.
9) The public can phone or text vote and 50% of the revenue goes to the artist.
10) The winner recieves £10,000 and a co-operative record deal.
All artists can sell their MP3's on our partners website www.we7 (run by Steve Purdham and Peter Gabriel). We work in partnership with The Factory Manchester to produce our live shows, which will also feature celebrity interviews, artist interviews, a breakthrough band and the artist videos.
The Source is a co-operative set up to help unsigned musicians get a fair deal and a focussed media exposure (as opposed to Myspace and other websites where sheer volume negates exposure).
