Hi,
I'm Ben. I've just started University in Kensington, and I'm looking to join a band.
I'm primarily a singer/lyricist, and have written/am writing a number of songs.
What I've done thus far is available at www.myspace/benmercer
I'm looking to join/form a band, so as to be able to create something with other people, and utilize a greater variety/amount of talent. I'm not bad at what I do - I'm competent on a number of instruments - but equally, I'm fairly new to this, and not at a level where I can really create/record songs which require more...skill. Joining a band would hopefully allow me to focus on what I think I do well - singing, and songwriting - and leave other bits to people who do them better than me.
Something casual, then, but with an eye on becoming something amazing.

EQUIPMENT
Nothing fancy on me at present - I've had to leave my main keyboard (the admittedly pretty crap Casio WK1700...at least, I think it's 1700) behind, though I could bring it down if required. I have a Microkorg XL, a Squeier Start something, a nice old wooden recorder, a duduk, myself, Cubase LE4, Guitar rig 4.

A song I wrote/recorded in my first week at uni. Vox is whispered as the walls here are annoyingly thin...
