ABOUT

Confident improvisor. I compose bits and pieces too. Mostly skeletons and strong musical ideas to bring to groups for completion. I played non stop with a sort of experimental punk group for nearly 10 years, and got into improvisation and jazzier stuff along the way. I like writing and playing more aggressive music, although I started playing the cello a few years back, which led me to enjoy playing some dead pretty stuff too.

Got a reasonable amount of free time/flexibility at the moment, and want to use that time to write and perform some original stuff with other musicians.

Right now, I play in a local improv group a few times a month, run workshops on musical improvisation, and play cello for various singer/songwriters at gigs and on recordings.

Looking to get a group together to write and perform with much more regularly again.
