Guitarist, 52, looking to get back into playing after a long absence. Commitments with home and job mean that it has to be on a non-serious basis, but would love to find people in a similar situation who want to play for fun, with a view to finding occasional gigs, or just to play or write. Did a little live playing in local bands in my 20s but haven’t been in a band since. Over the last few years started playing again and bought a bit of gear but all ‘bedroom’ playing. I must stress that I’m not a great guitarist and certainly not a fast solo player - a bit rusty but hopefully good enough to play rythym and a little lead live.

Would like to get a band together playing good pub rock & roll numbers - JJ Cale, Clapton, Creedence/Fogerty, Dave Edmunds, Albert Lee, Nick Lowe, Ry Cooder, Jools Holland, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry etc.
Also a big fan of Americana/contemporary country/alt country such as Mary Gauthier, John Hiatt, Kathleen Edwards, Ryan Adams,Chris Knight, Lori Mckenna, Eagles etc. or singer/songwriter stuff such as Stephen Fretwell, Karine Polwart.
EQUIPMENT
Decent electrics and amp, acoustic, pedals.
