SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums.ABOUT
Experienced musician with over 300 gigs in UK & USA in originals and covers bands, across a range of genres. For the last five years I've been playing bass in a 'mainstream indie' cover band (Muse, Stereophonics, Kula Shaker, Foo Fighters, Garbage, RHCP, Queens of the Stone Age, Raconteurs, Radiohead, Air, etc) all of which keeps my fingers nimble and my ears young(ish).
Currently (July 2023) I am seeking an interesting band to join - originals or covers - OR a lead/rhythm guitarist, drummer, and an exceptional female vocalist (who can also play acoustic guitar or keys a bonus) specifically for an All About Eve tribute band (because, frankly, the world needs this, and it doesn't look like AAE are going to do it, given Julianne's priorities). For the latter project, any distance within UK considered for rehearsals, but somewhere mutually convenient for all, every couple of months (or more frequently, depending?) until gig-ready. I do intend this to be a gigging outfit, although frequency may be determined by demand! Are there folks out there who still love this band and the joy they brought back in the day who want to hear their phenomenal songs live again? I honestly don't know, but I would love to attempt to recreate it.
So I am looking for folks with the musical ability, pro equipment and willingness/ability to travel a wee bit every so often to bring these songs to life. For me, fidelity to AAE's original (live) material/arrangements and a genuine love of the band's music are important. But please, no outsize egos. Life's too short for that.
(Shredding, while admirable in its own way, is not required for this project. Thanks for noting, shredding types.)
Excited to hear from folks who might be up for this. Contact me at s151431 at y**** dot com or message via here if interested? Thanks, Dom
