Introverts Wanted…
Are you unable to sing and lacking confidence? Out of practice? In your forties or fifties? Possibly somewhere on the Autism spectrum? Want to be in a band, but don’t really know where to start? Fret not!
I’m looking for a mature bassist and drummer (if such things exist) to form a 3 piece band. A lack of stage experience is no problem as part of this project is to work up to being performance ready. And you don’t need to be overly competent on your instrument, as long as you’re prepared to keep rehearsing until you sound polished, that’s fine. A sense of humour, or at least a sense of the absurd would be desirable, and creative instincts indispensable. I have two separate plans in mind:
To form a tribute/ covers band with the intention of obtaining paid gigs. This would be mainly interesting and unusual songs from the ‘60s Pop/R&R period. My aim is to work slowly and steadily on building a set, starting with easier songs and progressing to more demanding pieces, but on a rota system so that while we work on the more difficult songs, we still run through the easier ones, so that by the time we’re gigging, we should know them backwards. Contributions and ideas are welcome.
2. To form a band to perform self-written songs and ideas. This may even involve having two bands with the same members but different names! The aim of this project is more to do with self expression than financial gain, but there’s always the possibility that we could become a cult success! You can hear some of my basic demos here:

The equipment I’m currently using is:
Logic Pro X
Gibson Les Paul guitar
Yamaha AMX1000 Acoustic Guitar
HX Stomp pedal
M-Audio Oxygen 61 Keyboard Controller
Yamaha Clavinova Piano
Squier Precision Bass
I’m also hoping to acquire a Rickenbacker 330 and a Squier Troublemaker Telecaster Deluxe in the near future.
I have my own transport and prefer rehearsing in the evenings, in either Liverpool or St Helens.
