Hey! I'd like to meet some fellow musicians so I set up this group on Meetup:

All musicians of all abilities are welcome, any preferred musical genre or type of instrument! I guess the general idea of the group is to meet up (obviously), play some music, listen to other people play some music, socialise and have fun, while keeping things laid-back, informal and as unpretentious as is possible for a gathering of aspiring musicians to be.
Initial ideas include an outdoor session on the Downs, indoors either in a hired space or at somebody's house, or a local open mic session. Other suggestions welcome! Sign up if you think this sounds good.

Influences
Personally I'm into modern/percussive style acoustic guitar (Andy McKee, Erik Mongrain, John Butler Trio), flamenco and novelty pop song/TV theme tune covers. Looking to broaden my musical horizons though, so eager to meet musicians of all genres/influences!
