Standing Stone play original music which is mostly classic rock but with a hint of old school prog. Imagine a melding of the following and your pretty close. Rush (middle era), Deep Purple (Now what to present), A hint of Yes (Trevor Rabin era), a hint of Level 42, and a hint of UK, (the first album featuring Bruford and Holdsworth), Plus the big vocals of Uriah Heep/Queen. You should now have a good idea of what our music sounds like. There are full band details and short sound clips on our F bk page "Standing Stone" classic rock with a hint of old school prog.
We have our first CD released and distributed by Distrokid world wide, and it is available through all the major streaming stores.
We now need to pull together a full band to go out and play the CD live. There will be no gigs until the band is complete and fully rehearsed, so this project will initially be a labor of love so to speak. The plan is to gig and hopefully play some festivals in 2024.
