Bugeye are an alt rock band from Croydon bringing a unique blend of disco beats, 80s synth, dirty guitars, in your face bass and hook laden vocals - taking inspiration from Bowie, Blondie and St Vincent, 90s alt, and more - we blend political messages with upbeat pop tones.
Signed to Reckless Yes in 2019, the band released their debut album in 2020 making a number of top 50 album lists for the year and have gone on to sell out UK Tour after tour, gain bigger and better festival slots and a heap of exsopsure: recent singles from Sept-Nov 2022 gained plays on Radio 1, BBC 6 Music (Deb Grant and AMy Lame shows - including on air interviews), Both singles playlisted 3 weeks in a row by John Kennedy on Radio x, Winners of the people's vote on Amazing Radio, Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio, Music reviews in Clash Magazine, Lock Magazine, DIY, Louder Than War, God is in The TV as well as a series of indie zines and blogs. Summer in the City music video won 3 awards (London Movie Festival, Berlin Film Festival and Lift Off).
