Male vocalist required for studio project which will eventually turn into a live act.
A full album of songs is already written and produced, it just needs a characterful, powerful and melodic voice. I'm looking for a singer with a "dry" tuneful powerful voice with a pleasing tone that is not operatic and with no tendency to over sing. Singers I like include Chris Cornell, Myles Kennedy and Brent Smith to give you an idea.
All work is being carried out in a privately owned studio so there is no monetary outlay for anyone getting involved. Influences are varied, the music is a mix of melodic vocal lines with heavy guitars, some interesting rhythmic changes and some subtle synth tones so this requires a powerful, girthy but tuneful singer to compliment the depth in the recordings and the hooky melodies. It would be best if you are in the 25-30 age range. You will potentially become the frontman for this project once it goes live so you must be a confident performer with stage presence and a strong ability to communicate the songs to the audience. This will be in the future, for the time being I am looking for you to spend some time recording the vocal parts, there is no specific time commitment as long as we can make reasonable progress towards a spring 2017 launch and potential live dates in early summer. I have to mention as much as I hate to pander to trends but it would be beneficial if you also "look the part" and that's where I'll leave that! I will be looking to do only gigs that are worth it ie no "pay to play" type shows or anything that is not worth doing for any other reason. I will not expect anyone to pay any money towards the project as I will be taking care of costs. What I'm looking for from you is a reasonable level of commitment but I will be realistic about this and work with decency. If this sounds of interest to you please get in touch.
