Vocalist, Acoustic Guitar, Dobro.ABOUT
Over the past 25 years or so I've played in duos, trios and even three different electric blues bands and now I am looking to revive an acoustic blues duo comprising guitar/slide and harmonica (me) playing good old time blues as I haven't been able to do so since late 2023. My long term guitarist became very ill and so we had to quit and distance finished my last attempt to revive a duo.
I've been playing the old classic blues by such as Tampa Red, Slim Harpo, Jimmy Rogers, Tommy McClennan, Sonny and Brownie and not forgetting Muddy, Elmore James and Robert Johnson of course and many others. I've also started writing my own stuff.
I prefer the upbeat, entertaining blues as opposed to the usual sad downbeat stuff although I don't dismiss that style altogether. At present I've been playing at open mic sessions but have played at festivals and occasional gigs in the recent past and hope to again if possible, but nothing hectic.
I am an experienced blues musician, and not exactly young, but I enjoy performing enormously and would like any potential guitarist to feel the same. Hopefully, we could both take on vocal duties too and It would also be helpful if you have an electro-acoustic guitar as a PA is normally used at the open mic session.
So, if my style of Blues is of interest to you, you can PM me to contact me or at livemicmusic(at)talktalk.net
