I am putting a band together. i need drums, bass, electric guitar (rythm guitar), keyboard/piano, 3-4 saxophones or 2 saxphones and 2 trumpets and backing vocalists male and female - ideally musicians will be able to provide backing vocals (otherwise too many people on stage).
My songs are a cross between funk, motown, jazz with a contemporary sounds though.
The musicians will be required to have good amount of natural talent and the ability to improvise on the spot. I would appreciate collaborating in the songwriting department. I also welcome any creative output in regards to performing the songs to the highest standard.
i am aiming to get the band together to practise about twice a week - everybody will be required to share the costs of rehearsals (should not be more than a fiver each). Obviously each musican will be required to learn the songs in their own individual time so when we get together we focus onthe actual performing together.
I am hoping to get the whole shebang off the ground asap so we can start performing live and getting paid gigs. The better we are as a unit the better chance we stand at becoming a great success.
