ABOUT

McDowell play upbeat 60’s influenced rock n’ roll with a thoroughly modern twist, consistently delivering a set of dance floor shakers and swaying ballads. The latest album ‘Community Heat’ combines elements of pysychedelia, rock n’ roll, country and folk and is their most consistent collection to date.

Following two English pastoral albums; 'Rooks' Wedding' and 'The Gap in the Curtain', ‘Community Heat’ filters tales from life and those that live it through the Warhol art-house/slum aesthetic to produce songs for a knees-up round the electric fire.

The band live are an exciting harmony led swirling kaleidoscope of sound, with over driven semi acoustics, rock solid beats and trippy space echoed keys and flute. Add to this the vintage lighting effects and animation it’s a full spectrum of audio-visual delight.
