Citizens of Science are a 3-piece residing in various locations within Hertfordshire. We’re looking for a keyboard player who can ideally do some backing vocals too. It would be a bonus if you can play guitar as well but not a problem if you can’t.
Our age range is 29-35 – and we’re looking for someone in that same sort of age area.
We have years of experience in bands, and do it for the love and creative side of it rather than any yearning for fame and fortune. That being said, we’re committed and determined, and would expect the same from any potential band member.
Our collective influences are varied, and range from Post-Punk, to Electronic, to Metal, to Jazz Fusion, to Britpop. In reality, anything goes, and to name-check some bands – we’re especially influenced by the likes of Blur, Stereolab, Cardiacs, Devo, Manic Street Preachers, XTC, Fugazi, Smashing Pumpkins, Suede, Foals, Shudder To Think, and Mansun.
We’ve recording lined up in April and will be booking gigs from some time around March onwards for the remainder of the year.
