Oreyt. We are Contraptions, a cutting-edge musical fusion of chaos and melody, hailing from the steel city of dreams Sheffield, UK. Born in 2020 from the desire to push musical boundaries and redefine genres, we are an experimental, progressive metal skacore band.
What sets us apart is our unique sound, where the sheer intensity of metal meets the unpredictable rhythms of prog and ska, all while being carried by the electrifying energy of a powerful horn section.
Basically, imagine a relentless wall of distorted guitars, intricate horn melodies and searing vocals, all harmoniously intertwined with the vibrant, infectious sounds of wider genre influences.
We have a single out on Spotify titled 'Insurrection' produced by the legendary Charlie Wilson and an upcoming single to be released soon called 'Leviathan' (also produced by CW).
