ABOUT

I'm a drummer looking for special projects that make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

I'm mostly interested in indie, rock, pop and electronic genres. An indie / electronica fusion along the lines of LCD sound System, Arcade Fire, WH Lung would be something I'd be most interested in. I play a Yamaha 9000 recording custom kit and I'm not afraid of using backing tracks and technology if it's required.

In an ideal world it would be great to collaborate with solo artists as part of their backing band, or with an established band looking for a new drummer. I'm open to working on a project by project session basis or as a full time band member. It doesn't have to be with an originals artist or band (although that would be preferable), it could be with tribute or covers act, but in any nce the standard must be well rehearsed and professional sounding.

I have over 35 years drumming experience. I played regularly on the Camden alternative indie scene in the 90s with Lemonade Hand Grenade (LHG) / Glycerine. I then joined lo-fi indie rockers 'Lowgold' when they signed with Nude records and toured with them until Tony Lash, their producer (and Elliot Smith's drummer) took over drumming duties for their debut album 'Just Backward of Square'. I played drums for Chris Ford aka Fordy on his debut album release 'Spiders' which is available on Bandcamp. I gigged and recorded with the band 'Crossfader' for their EP release 'The Teacake Sessions'. I have also played in a couple of indie covers events bands over the last decade. And the most recent project I was involved with until the pandemic hit was with MUSE tribute act MUSEK. I also teach beginner and intermediate drums at AMP School in Swanley.

I'm also a techno / house / trance DJ/Producer aka Custard, and DJ a wide span of styles from chilled out warm-up progressive house to banging acid techno. I have home studio experience, and have trance releases on Discover Records as part of the trance collaboration Nexus 3, and I played electronic drums for DnB producers Subteq on their tracks Get Krunk and Winter Sun.
