I'm a developing bass player in my early 30s based near the north Hampshire / west Surrey border. I'm self taught, and am currently working on my all round playing ability. My early playing background is firmly grounded in various genres of rock, with a little bit of funk and motown. I enjoys jamming and performing with fellow musicians, and am currently part of the alt rock / grunge band Maximum Robot.

I listen to a fairly eclectic variety of music, including rock, funk and funk rock, grunge, blues, metal, reggae and motown on occasion and progressive rock / metal (the latter being my main go-to genre).

Some of my main bass influences come from some of the following incredible artists: Jeff Ament, Justin Chancellor, Flea, Tim Commerford, Geddy Lee, Steve Di Giorgio, Duff McKagan, Steve Harris, John Deacon and Murdoc Niccals (just to name a few).

A selection of the bands that I am spending the most time listening to at the moment are: Dream Theater, Porcupine tree, Iron Maiden, Wheel, Animals as Leaders, Jack the Joker, The Pineapple Thief, RHCP, Soen, Queen, Rise Against, Foo Fighters, Nirvana and Editors.
