Looking for band to join in Somerset. I'm a born-again guitarist, having played in a band when I was a student and having then pretty much retired for 25 years or more before picking things up again a few years ago. Yep, that makes me just past 60 but you're as young as you feel - so that would make me around 47. I am more enthusiastic than I ever was, and eager to find others to play with. Happy with the idea of fun-only but I think some gigging might give me more sense of purpose! Just need to explore possibilities with like-minded musicians. I sing as a backing / harmony singer rather than front man, and don't aim to be the lead guitarist. Looking for anyone in a similar position or a band who might need an extra guitar and vocal noise here and there. Classic rock and blues, contemporary rock, funk, whatever...

Influences
Just about everything has influenced me. Most genres have something going for them. From early Fleetwood Mac and Rolling Stones to The Beatles, Led Zep, The Eagles, Level 42, Pink Floyd, Bad Company, Chic, Clapton, Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Petty and countless others, plus a broad swathe of soul and funk, folk and jazz. Anything with some guitars and keyboards seems to do it for me.
