Hello.
Experimental.
Now there's a word.
Makes me think of 6ft gongs on a stage a some one one in a trance playing the triangle . . . .
However, I can't think of a better word to describe what I like to do musically.
Experiment.
I mean, I love punk and rock and ska and indie and funk and reggae and all that .........
But, something makes me cringe a bit at the term "covers band" or "openmike".
I just love experimenting with different sounds without being tethered to a particular "genre". I hate that term too.
I am self employed and a father of two year old twins so my time is limited, but I do practice at least six hours a week at home.
I'm looking for any one local who's into sharing musical ideas and maybe recording / performing occasionally.

Influences
I'm anti "genre" and find my musical tastes and influences are so varied its hard to pin down, but I'm a fan of family man's bass l lines. Niles chugging, toppers machine gun snares, John squires wah, Mike Scott's lyrics, steely Dan. Dan . Dan.Dan Dan.Dan. Dan.
Maiden,sub humans, doves, coral, roses, levellers,
Every good riff,or chop or strum or snare or fill that gives me a little buzz in my tummy, that bar or note that takes you off somewhere else . . . .
That's what I like.
