ABOUT

Hello, thanks for looking at my profile.
I'm an experienced lead vocalist front man - play guitar to a good standard. As a vocalist Ican perform!
Have put a number of recordings on here in various genres - I have cover most both in local and nationally performing bands.
I also write and have spent a lot of time in the studio so know my way around original material; good wordsmith :-)
Hope you like what you see & hear.
From a performance point of view I have always been very flexible taking either lead vocal of backing vocal.
Would really like to join band for regular work.
I enjoy being in a band, I am a good band member! chilled :-)
Happy to chat!
Cheers David

Influences

Have a very wide taste in music, having sung both full time and part time, found it has helped to be versatile. I am very much a singer first, guitarist second.

Early guitarist influences:- Mike Bloomfield of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Clapton, Green & Hendrix, most late 60's and early 70's rock bands - love Country and Blues - 3 Kings, Robert Johnson, Robert Cray & Muddy Waters.
The feast of great vocalists I have been lucky enough to experience have shaped my musical career, I have covered so many songs and like to think I did a good job with most :-)
Everly Brothers (who I worked for in the early 70's and really impressed me), Drifters, The Temptations, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Paul Rodgers, Roger Chapman, Robert Plant, Rod Stewart and Peter Green, who was a great vocalist as well as a magnificent guitarist.
Early band influences were: The Eagles, Steely Dan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Average White Band and The Doobie Brothers.
As I said earlier flexibility has always proven to be important.
