ABOUT

Hi, I’m Dave Lee, a 33 year old drummer from Daventry.

I am a talented & enthusiastic drummer with experience of gigging & recording.
I am highly motivated & always willing to adapt & progress.

I started drumming at the age of 5, taking drum lessons from a local drum tutor from the age of 8 until the age of 15.
During this time, I became extremely proficient in a number of different styles with Jazz/Fusion being my particular favourite.
I have played various styles in the many bands I have been involved with & enjoy putting my own interpretation into the patterns although I can also play the pattern as is written.

I attended East Warwickshire College in Rugby from 2004 – 2006 where I completed a two year foundation course in Music Practice.
During 2006 – 2008 I studied at Northampton University, achieving an HND in Music Practice.

Whilst I have performed at many different venues including pubs, clubs & festivals, the highlight of my music career so far has been the opportunity to perform with “The Danny Connor Band” supporting Paul Weller at The Cardiff International Arena during his UK tour of 2009.

At the moment, I am looking to join a gigging band who play jazz fusion style of music.
I am quite happy playing covers but, ideally, I would prefer original material.
