I am an 38 year old producer looking mainly for Vocalist but also musical collaborators of any type. I grew up playing instruments and listening to band music so I would say the style of electronic music I prefer is song based, centred around chord progressions and musical ideas but also hypnotic, danceable rhythms. I tend to like darker, deeper sounds, sounds that touch the soul in some way.

Influences
My tastes span from classic 60's rock, jimi hendrix, Led Zeppelin etc, to the more modern 4tet, Burial, SBTRKT, Mount Kimbie artists. I'm a 90's teenager so of course bands like Nirvana, Mudhoney, and then by mid nineties things like Ninja Tune and Mowax labels were part of my education into electronically produced music. Massive attack, Lamb, Tricky, Beck, Radiohead were all quite big influences at the time and I think their ability to incorporate great song writing into the universe of interesting instrumentation and ideas is something that still moulds my mission in music today. But the most enjoyable thing for me is to start music from a blank canvas with as little preconceptions as possible and see where it takes you, I think that is where originality starts to manifest. Today I've been greatly interested in the so called Post-dubstep scene and affiliated artists. It was very much a time of experimentation and pioneering. These artists inspire me to be more creative and get out of my comfort zone.
Members Of Band
It's just me. I do work with other vocalists already but I would like to meet someone closer to home who I can have more of a one on one collaboration with. At the moment I make the backing tracks and they sing over the top, and that's fine but I have strong melodic ideas when creating a track that I never get to try out or develop with the singer. Preferably I'd like to meet a singer who can offer musical ideas, can play an instrument or even produce a bit.
