SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
Having just had our excellent band fall apart and canceled a fair few gigs due to a couple of very uncommitted people, who were more interested in their social lives than getting together to play, I am looking for a new venture.
What I would like is to either join an established band as a guitarist or form a new one from scratch. The only stipulations being to play with people that actually do want to play on a regular basis and that can play! Regular rehearsals & gigs are a must. Not every week maybe but equally so not once a year.
I prefer good rock music but tbh the style/ type of music is secondary to being involved in a reliable band with good players.
What is a good player? Everyone will have an opinion of course. I am neither the best nor the worst guitarist but suffice to say that I am well past wanting to be in a rehearsal studio with musicians trying to play along whilst reading from piles of tab sheets! I'm not saying there isn't a place for such learning aids but I would like to pitch up to a rehearsal with a group of people who have taken the time to put in the work and learn the agreed material in advance!
I have ticked the boxes looking for drums, bass, vocals & keys but if there any other musicians that would like to be involved then why not ask?
As I have said the type of music I prefer is something with some balls but that's not to say that I wouldn't want to play anything from Reggae to Punk with everything and anything in between.
So if this hasn't sounded too arrogant & you have stopped reading before this then please get in touch.
