ABOUT

I'm vocalist with a socialist lean, looking to join/start a band to create original music.

Not Nu Metal. Not a cover band. Something entirely fresh.

Funk, punk, rock, rap, poetry...

Rage Against The Machine meets Run the Jewels (less synth focused though) meets the more aggressive RHCP tracks.

Must have own gear, transport and be committed.

Major bonus if you are passionate about causes I will look to express; climate activism, race and wealth equality, police brutality, government accountability etc.

Hit me up if this sounds like you!

Influences

Though it's not easy to sum up an imagined sound, my general thoughts of influence are:

Rage Against the Machine - empowering and unifying. Bold, unforgettable licks. Thunderous drums. Sharp-toungued, aggressive sociopolitical lyrics.

RHCP - rather than being boxed in by fixed riffs or thrashing chords, or general rock-rap territory, this is an indication of how compositions and writing can be quite technical, while offering a hard/soft contrast to the music.

Run The Jewels - more regarding my vocal style on the rap/emcee side, though I also incorporate a rock-metal grit. In that sense, I'm not looking to just be a rapper in a band. Some tracks could have more of a rock/metal lean, some more rap/poetry. It would change depending on what we want from the song. Or what the song wants from us!

These ideas would undoubtedly grow and change organically with the right group/chemistry.
