ABOUT
Hi my names Richard. I've been playing drums for about fifteen years, teaching for the last five. I've played in allsorts of bands over the years, but my heart lies with funk and jazz. I studied performing arts, and have a degree in jazz from Birmingham Conservatoire
I teach in schools and privately at my studio in Worcester, The Beat Clinic.
I have gigged with The Quantic Soul Orchestra (QSO), including an appearance at the Big Chill Festival, and a live to radio broadcast on the Gilles Peterson show, all to a click track.
I have my own transport and professional equipment and have travelled the UK with my current function band.
Included on my media player are some tracks from QSO from the album "Stampede" (2003), and some recordings that I made at university (2004/2005). Hope you like!
