Gargoyles in the Rafters are an alternative indie rock band that likes to perform in ye olde churches of York. We aim to tailor our sound and lyrical content to these beautiful and reverberant spaces. While spanning a wide range of styles and influences, from angsty rock to melancholy ballads, funky jams to choral harmonies, GitR explore themes of creation, relationships, existential dread and redemption.
