Mature bass player seeking new musical challenges. I've been involved with purely covers bands and want to look into the possibility of collaborating with like-minded musicians and instrumentalists to create interesting original music.

I like the idea of making music with interesting rhythms and textures, swells and crescendos, interplay between all instruments to carry the melody.
Specifically, I have been looking to start something in a kind of post-rock/prog-rock etc style, taking inspiration from bands such as There's A Light, Black Narcissus, Silent Island and Mogwai.

Initially, at least, I would see this as a writing and recording project with regular practice / jam sessions to develop the pieces of music to high standard. Gigging would not be a primary aim, although it is something that could be worked on in the future, if sufficient progress is made!
