I used to be in a band, years ago, and I miss it so much. I play 3 open mics a week at the moment, and have been offered gigs, but I just feel that my guitar and ukulele skills aren't strong enough for me to perform as a solo artist.
I've always been complimented on my voice, and told that it has an unusual and calming sound to it. It's fairly soft, however I have a large range given under the right song. Strong control, that falls up and down riffs and scales fairly easily.
I've been told that it suits folk and acoustic, although I was previously the lead of a rock band, and that works fairly well too (as a bit of a contrast to the music).
